Lyon gracefully describes the otherworldly beings lingering in fading shadows while creating a palpable atmosphere of tension and danger. The many threads of the plot as well as complex themes of trauma, grief, PTSD, greed, regret, and redemption come together in the engrossing, quickly paced chapters that alternate between different characters’ stories. This is a page-turning occult thriller that will pull you into a vivid world full of twists and turns. Not to be missed.
